The Story
Creativity and adventure have always been in Maxs nature, as a kid he enjoyed riding a bike, catching bugs, playing in parks and wooded areas, and tinkering. He also liked open world video games and sci-fi movies that created a world to be immersed in. Pencil and paper where the start of the artists journey, later he discovered a love for painting and immersed himself in colorful worlds of awe, contrast, expression, and whimsy. Around the same time Max was getting into finding agates on the beach
and started making wire wrapped jewelry from them. This craft flourished as he could get lost in the free flow creation style of wire wrapping often starting a piece with no plan and just letting it create itself. The hunt for crystals only keeps growing since finding agates on the beach as he has spent countless days exploring terrain and digging hard for the gems Washington state provides. Doing so because it's fun, fascinating, and he gets to offer the treasures to others. Max often uses his self-collected crystals and minerals not fit to be sold as specimens in the crafts and artwork promoting ethical/ Responsible sourcing and use of collected material. working with the land, using it to showcase beauty and spread meaning in hopes to connect deeper with nature and let it be a medium to connect the imagination and the physical. Max values hard work, authenticity, and is purpose driven. He lives and creates like an alchemist harnessing and blending booth light and dark aspects of himself and the world. His artistic iterations a testament to a state of play and exploration as they develop and grow. The crystals a showcase to the artistry created by nature, a reminder of the beauty this world offers. Max intends to dive deeper into working with self-collected materials mixing both his love for exploring and creating.
Mission
Max Mosley Art emphasizes ethical sourcing, quality craftsmanship, and unlimited creativity. Bringing into being various artisan and collectible items from jewelry to sculpture to ethically sourced stones and mineral specimen, often including locally self-sourced crystals in the crafts.
Max enjoys the freedom to explore and experiment with ideas and his imagination. As he tries out different mediums, he aims to build a set of well-rounded skills and find ways to morph them together as the craft(s) develop.
