A New Sun

A New Sun is a vibrant and experimental mixed media wall art piece. It presents an imaginary scene where the sun changes color and appearance affecting the sky and casting color and glimmers onto the lands. 4 individuals are portrayed witnessing this event, with each expressing their own reaction. This artwork is to represent change and the reactions we as humans have to change. It could also be seen as God or Spirit manifested into physical form through the sun and the reactions to it.

change is life and an inevitable part of the process to all things. We cannot stop change but we can practice how to respond to it and work with it. As a free-spirited artist who constantly seeks to break outside the box and explore the creative realm this piece was a joy to work on. I learned paste sculpting, resin shaping, and watercolor in the process.

all sealed with a UV protective semi-gloss coating.
